A bus carrying students from the Beginners Education Complex in Amansie Central, Ashanti Region, caught fire and killed three students.
Tuesday, June 13, around 4 p.m., the incident occurred at Huu.
After their school bus broke down at Huu, six schoolchildren boarded the 207-passenger bus.
The vehicle was en route to Edwensae when it caught fire. Several passengers were able to escape. Three of the six pupils were trapped and burned to death in the bus.
"We just witnessed a bus engulfed in flames, which intensified within seconds because the bus was transporting petroleum products.
"We worked together to save every passenger on board, but we lost three children." The children are all from Edwenase, but they attend school in Huu, a witness told 3news.com.
The decedent is between 5 and 7 years old.
