Alan is a solutions-based leader Ghanaians are looking for – Buaben Asamoa

Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a spokesperson for the Alan Kyerematen campaign, has described Mr. Kyerematen as a solutions-oriented leader that Ghanaians seek.

According to him, the people expect Mr. Kyerematen to keep his pledges, so he should be elected as the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate.

Mr. Buaben Asamoa, a former lawmaker for Adentan, stated that Mr. Kyerematen is associated with frameworks for job and prosperity creation.

Reviewing our history, our past reforms, and our records demonstrate that Alan Kyerematen has the requisite pedigree among the candidates vying for the leadership of the Ghanaian party.

Today, Saturday, August 26, the NPP will hold its special delegates congress to reduce the number of flagbearer candidates from ten to five.

Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kyerematen, Joe Gartey, Kwadwo Poku, Dr. Afriyie Akoto, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Francis Addai Nimoh, Dr. Kofi Kunadu Apraku, Boakye Agyarko, and Dr. Mahamudu Baahudu are the ten candidates.

Ahead of the super delegates congress, the NPP leadership warned all delegates that displaying cast ballots in public is a crime.

Those who violate this provision will face legal repercussions in accordance with the law, as notified by the party.

The Presidential Election Committee issued a statement on Thursday, August 24 informing delegates that any publicly displayed ballots would be invalidated.

It added, "We desire to emphasize further that there will be no congress on the day of voting, and that voting will be strictly walk-in only.

"In light of this, it is anticipated that there will be no public address or opportunity for any National Party Executive, government representative, or regional executive to address delegates publicly on the day of voting.

"We wish to reassure all relevant parties, including stakeholders, delegates, aspirants, and the general public, that with these parameters in place, no one will be able to discern the voting preferences and patterns of individual voters after the voting process has concluded. This measure ensures the integrity and secrecy of the voting process."
