Amerado Supports Healthy Competition For Growth, But Adds A Caveat: “Beef Helps, But Too Much Of It Doesn't"

The Ghanaian rapper Amerado, renowned for his propensity for rap battles, discussed competition among musicians.

Amerado noted that collaboration is a crucial factor in the expansion of every sector or industry.
Amerado, also known as Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, became well-known for his lyrical skill on his rap album Yetee Nsem.

He became a prominent representative of the then-emerging Kumerica brand.

Today, Amerado is the 2023 VGMA Rapper of the Year. He is the first member of the Kumerica movement to do so.

Amerado endorses healthy competition but cautions against its negative consequences.

Amerado is notorious for "beefing" with fellow musicians such as Lyrical Joe, Medikal, and Eno Barony.

He claims that rap battles enable participants to display their talent in a more creative and varied manner.

"Competition is vital in every industry, whether it be athletics, music, or film. It assists in bringing out the finest in those involved.

Insofar as people view 'beefs' as a form of entertainment, it is a reflection of how a farmer prepares his swords for daily labor. Beef is beneficial, but too much is not.

Amerado clarifies his relationship with Delay as rumors of their dating proliferate.

The Ghanaian rapper expressed his gratitude for Dela's companionship.

Amerado added that Delay is very at ease in his presence and is able to discuss intimate matters with him.

According to him, Delay did things to assist his career because of their friendship.

Amerado states that he will not be concerned if he never wins a Grammy in his career.

The award-winning Ghanaian rapper stated that while he recognizes the power of being a recipient of an international honor, he is not preoccupied with it.

Success means various things to different people, according to Amerado. He noted that Ghanaian musicians are already disrupting the global music scene from their home country.

A national championship would be the frosting on the cake, but only that will make him feel complete as a musician.
