Coach Gazale believes Kotoko are back in title race

With three games remaining in the season, Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Gazale isn't losing up on the Ghana Premier League championship chase.

The defending champions, who had gone three games without a win and had fallen out of the top four recently, returned to winning ways on Monday at Dawu Park with a 3-1 triumph over Kotoku Royals.

Gazale is still optimistic that his team can win the remaining games while his rivals lose, giving his team a chance to win the title even though it appears unlikely considering the seven-point deficit between them and Medeama SC.

"Definitely, seeing as how we are currently ranked fourth in the table and if we can continue to play well," if we are able to pick nine points from the three games in addition it would be 12 points hoping that at least any of those at the top will drop either one point or three points and we can still make it up,” he told StarTimes after the game.

Kootoko will welcome Karela United at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday before facing Accra Lions and Dreams FC in the subsequent fixtures.
