Former Trade Minister thanks Market Queens for picking NPP nomination forms for him

Alan Kyerematen, former Minister of Trade and Industry, thanked Market Queens for selecting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential nomination forms for him to compete in the forthcoming internal elections of the ruling party.

In a tweet, he stated, "I am humbled and appreciative to the incredible market Queens who have contributed abundantly to my pursuit of guiding the NPP to victory in 2024.

On May 31, market ladies lead a delegation to retrieve the forms on behalf of the former Ghanaian ambassador to the United States.
Former party general secretary Nana Ohene Ntow and former members of parliament Ayikoi Otoo and Alhaji Abubakar Boniface Saddique comprised the delegation.

Comfort Serwaa, a leader of the Kumasi Tomato Sellers Union, stated on behalf of the market ladies that they had pledged years ago to collect the forms for Mr. Kyerematen, and that the time had come to fulfill that vow.

She stated that more than GH100,000 was raised from market women in order to purchase nomination forms for Mr. Kyerematen, also known as Alan Cash.
