Previously, it was reported that Yvonne Nelson's mother had become ill and been hospitalized with elevated blood pressure.

Presumably, the pressure stems from the content of her daughter's autobiography, "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson," in which the actress portrayed her mother as the "Wicked Witch of the West."

Yvonne disclosed that her mother attempted to abort her before she was born and that she abused her throughout her childhood by telling her she was a'mistake' who should never have been born.

Worse was her discovery that her mother hid her father from her and kept giving her the names of various men who were not her father; this painted her mother as a 'ho' who doesn't even know who impregnated her!
