General Mosquito Responds To Alleged "Leaked Tape

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has admitted that the leaked audio recording of him making controversial comments is genuine. In the audio, Nketiah, also known as General Mosquito, can be heard talking about the party's efforts to defend itself in court after losing the elections. He claims that the system used to collate results, which was brought by party Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, crashed when they tried to use it to collate results from five regions. As a result, they decided to use manual collation, but the results were not strong enough to defend the party in court.

Nketiah also revealed that they sought the help of lawyer Tsikata, but he rejected their case, telling them to "take back your grasscutter". Nketiah added that if he becomes the Chairman, such problems will not occur again.

During an appearance on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo", Nketiah confirmed that the audio was genuine and that he had spoken on multiple platforms about the same subject. He expressed surprise that the audio was being described as a "leaked" tape, suggesting that it was a public statement rather than a private conversation.

These comments by Nketiah have sparked controversy within the party, with some members calling for action to be taken against him for making such sensitive information public. It remains to be seen how this situation will play out and whether Nketiah will face any consequences for his words.
