Ghana coach Yusif Basigi worried ahead of WAFU Cup final against Nigeria

Even though the Black Princesses have advanced to the final of the current WAFU Zone B Women's U-20 Cup of Nations, head coach Yusif Basigi is not pleased with his forwards' production.

Ghana advanced to the final after a dramatic comeback victory over Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Stella Nyamekye, Success Ameyaa, and Faiza Seidu scored for Ghana in their 3-1 victory over Burkina Faso.

Prior to the semifinals, the team defeated Benin and Ivory Coast by scores of 3-0 and 3-1, respectively.

However, Basigi was dissatisfied with the team's profligacy, stating that they could have scored more goals to increase their margins of victory.

After the semifinal victory, he remarked, "It appears that finishing is now the issue, so that is the only area I need to work on, even though I have a few holes in my defense that I need to shore up."

President of the Ghana FA, Kurt Okraku, observed his 52nd birthday.
"I believe this is one of the reasons why, as many of these new performers have never played internationally before. Everything will be alright in due time," he added.

Nigeria will face the Black Princesses in the championship game after the Falconets defeated Benin 3-0 in the second semifinal.
