Ghana is 15th most miserable country in the world on Hanke’s 2022 misery index

Professor Steve Hanke of Johns Hopkins University has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of economic ineptitude.

Ghana's inflation rate is presently 64 percent, despite the Ghana Statistical Service's (GSS) official number of 41.2%.

Prof Hanke, an outspoken opponent of the Akufo-Addo regime, ranks Ghana 15th in the world on his 2022 annual Misery Index.

"The #cedi is worthless in #Ghana." According to my calculations, Ghana's inflation rate is a HORRIBLE 64% each year. Ghana is the 15TH-MOST MISERABLE COUNTRY in the world in the Hanke 2022 Annual Misery Index, thanks to President Akufo-Addo's INCOMPETENCE & ECONOMIC MISMANAGEMENT," he tweeted on Friday.
