Hajj 2023: Chairman briefs National Chief Imam on preparations

Ben Abdallah Bandah, the Chairman of Ghana's Hajj Board, paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, to brief him on the preparations made thus far for the impending pilgrimage to Mecca by Ghanaian Muslims.

During the Tuesday morning visit, the Head of Ghana's Hajj Operations provided the National Chief Imam with an update on the arrangements made for transportation, lodging, and other crucial aspects of Hajj operations.

The Chairman of the Hajj Board also updated Sheikh Sharubutu on the travel arrangements for the airlifting of Ghanaian pilgrims beginning on Friday, June 9.

The National Chief Imam thanked Ben Abdallah Banda for his visit and prayed for the success of this year's Hajj pilgrimage.

In the meantime, a Hajj Board advance team has departed Accra for Saudi Arabia in anticipation of the airlifting of Ghanaian pilgrims.

The advance team is responsible for finalizing arrangements and ensuring that everything is in order not only for the pilgrims' arrival, but also for a successful Hajj operation.

Ben Abdallah Banda, newly designated Chairman of the Hajj Board, lead a delegation to Saudi Arabia to inspect Hajj facilities and other arrangements made prior to his appointment.
