Hard work pays – Oppong Nkrumah congratulates Bawumia

The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has extended his congratulations to the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on his victory at the super delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which took place on Saturday, August 26.

The purpose of the conference for the super delegates was to narrow the pool of potential flagbearer candidates from ten to five.

Following the voting, Dr. Bawumia received 629 votes, which is equivalent to 68.15 percent of the total, followed by Kennedy Agyapong and Alan Kyerematen, who received 132 votes (14.3 percent) and 95 votes (10.29 percent), respectively.

Because Francis Addai-Nimoh and Mr. Boakye Agyarko received the same number of votes, a runoff between the two of them will take place to determine who comes in fifth place.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, who is also an MP for Ofoase Ayirebi, sent the following message on Twitter: "Hard effort pays...."Your Excellency, Congratulations!"
