I Will Never Quit the NPP Candidate Race - Ken Agyapong

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a presidential hopeful for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that he will never withdraw from the party's presidential campaign.

Tuesday evening, while addressing party delegates in the New Juaben North constituency in the Eastern Region, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central assured the delegates not to believe false rumors that he will withdraw from the race at the conclusion of the campaign to declare support for another candidate.

Kennedy Agyapong desires to break the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition of the NPP by incorporating grassroot tradition in order to transfer authority from the party elites to the grassroot.

Since the NPP's inception in 1993, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong has sacrificed significant financial and logistical support for the party.

He accused some government appointees, who have become wealthy overnight despite not spending a peso on the party, of arrogance of power.

Mr. Agyapong stated that he will leave politics to enjoy his wealth if party delegates continue to vote for individuals who take them for granted.

Kennedy Agyapong, commenting on Anas Aremeyaw Anas, stated that he had tamed the investigative journalist to extinguish his evil agenda against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the government, but regretted that no NPP member had shown him support during his legal battle with Anas.
