I’m very bitter at MPs who I helped but are supporting Bawumia – Ken Agyapong

Ken Agyapong, a flagbearer candidate, has expressed his displeasure with some New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament whom he financially and campaigned for during the 2020 Parliamentary elections but who have turned against him and are supporting Vice President Bawumia in the party's upcoming November 4, Presidential primary.

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the majority leader, openly proclaimed that an overwhelming majority of NPP MPs have declared their support for flagbearer candidate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

In an interview, the Suame Member of Parliament revealed that at least 122 of the party's 137 MPs support Vice President Bawumia.

On Starr Chat on Starr FM, Ken Agyapong, the Assin Central MP, expressed his disappointment with the MPs who have showed such disrespect to him.

"...My wife keeps telling me to try to control my rage because I am very bitter." I would not have recognized my opponents if I had not battled. These MPs, the assistance that I have given them, and some of them come with the justification that if I support you... and it is true. One MP expressed his intention to support me, and they threatened him that your market at Akim Oda would not be built. That is how serious the situation is; they have told a number of MPs that if they do not support one candidate, they will bring in another, and they are all terrified.
