I said sorry to persons who got offended for my apology over the profane language – Sosu

Francis-Xavier Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina, has stated that some people were concerned by his apology for using foul language during a recent demonstration organized by the Minority against the Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

He apologized to those of those who were outraged by his apology.

Sosu mentioned this when answering questions about his own principles and if he has ever taken a bribe to speak in favor of causes he personally opposes in an interview on Tuesday, October 17.

"I will never accept payment to speak out against my conviction." I believe that my prices reflect my principles, and I want to stand by my values, which is why, even after I apologized for my outburst, people were upset and disappointed with my apology."

"I had to apologize for apologizing to some people." But I had to maintain my position today that this is contrary to my principles, and I would not stand for it.' So there is no way I will accept monetary compensation to speak against my conscience and ideals," he stated.

Sosu also had some advice for young people who desire to make money in politics.

He claims that the need for money can motivate people to engage in questionable behavior, attracting the attention of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Even if they are not captured by human laws, he claims that the almighty God will hold them accountable for their stewardship one day.

"We have gone through a series of lessons from careers that we can bring on board to change the course of our nation," the private legal practitioner stated. That is how every young person interested in politics should begin to think; if you are thinking of making money in politics, just know that it will catch up with you and the OSP may come after you; if the OSP does not come after you, your own conscience and someday God will come after you; the ultimate judge above all judges knows what you are doing."
