It Will Be An Honor To Direct A Stage Play Of Yvonne Nelson's Book – Ivan Quashigah

Ivan Quashigah, renowned filmmaker and founder of Farmhouse Productions, has expressed interest in adapting Yvonne Nelson's novel into a stage drama or film.

He told Doreen Avio, "I have already spoken with George Quaye after he expressed interest in staging it. I also believe we should contemplate adapting it for the big screen, and I would be honored to direct it."

The director also discussed meeting Yvonne Nelson for the first time when she auditioned for a role in his television series.

"I first encountered Yvonne after she competed in the Miss Ghana competition. I searched for constellations for the Fortune Island.

She rapped during the casting process, and she did a number of other things that made me realize she has multiple aspects.

On June 18, 2023, Ivan Quarshigah was one of the distinguished guests at Yvonne Nelson's official book launch.
