Jean Mensa’s competence cannot be doubted, Gyampo says

Professor Ransford Yaw Gyampo, a political scientist, believes that no one should dispute the competency of not just the Chair of the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC), Jean Adukwei Mensa, but also the Deputy Chair in charge of Corporate Services, Dr Eric Bossman Asare.

He stated that he has worked with the two commissioners and can attest to their abilities.

Prof Gyampo says he worked with Madam Jean Mensa at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) for 14 years.

"As for her competence, I cannot sit as part of a programme and allow anyone to doubt it," Prof Gyampo said on Saturday, September 16.

"She is a very competent person," he said, recalling how she led the IEA Ghana Political Parties Programme, which brought significant progress to the country.
