John Kumah Believes That Dr. Bawumia Is The Solution To Ghana's Current Economic Mess.

Vice-Minister of Finance John Kumah has endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the general elections of 2024.

He stated that the Vice President is the person Ghana requires to guide it out of its current economic predicament.

Kumah told Beatrice Adu on TownHall Talk on Asaase Radio, "Dr. Bawumia is a voice of hope for this country, particularly in these trying times."

Dr. Bawumia is one of the voices in this country that speak words of encouragement during these difficult times.

"You need individuals who understand how to reform the current system and add value to what President Akufo-Addo has started."

"The 'Ghana beyond Aid' initiative, which must result in 'Africa beyond Aid,' necessitates a new level of thinking, innovation, and digitalization," said Kumah.

Recently, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stated that the NPP government has created 2,3 million positions since taking office in 2017.

The Vice President's spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako, defended the claim by stating that it is readily verifiable.

Dr. Boako stated on Accra's Asaase Radio that the government alone created approximately 1.4 million jobs, while the private sector created the remaining positions.

"What I appreciate most about this data on job creation is that it has been made public and can be checked, researched, and validated.

"The jobs we claim to have created are quantifiable; they involve people who are receiving salaries and are recorded in our books."

"The government's current priority is to foster an environment where the private sector can flourish and relieve the burden of job creation," Boako said, citing the private sector as a growth engine.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, vice president, stated that the Akufo-Addo administration has created more sustainable employment than any other administration in Ghana's history.
