Jomoro MP holds reconciliation meeting with challenger

Dorcas Affo-Toffey, member of parliament for the Jomoro constituency in the Western Region, has begun a reconciliation campaign following her retention in the parliamentary primaries.

The objective was to get everyone on board, particularly the leading candidate who ran against her in the May 13 primary.

Mr. Francis Ackatia Kwaidoo challenged Madam Affo-Toffey in the NDC primaries.

She received 1,574 votes, making her the re-elected candidate for the 2024 election, while Mr. Ackatia Kwaidoo, who ran for the office for the third time, received 175 votes.

Both constituency executives and supporters of both candidates attended the meeting.

Constituency officials and supporters accompanied the representative.
After the meeting, Mr. Ackatia Kwaidoo expressed his willingness to support Jomoro's candidacy in the 2024 election.

He stated that such occurrences are anticipated in an internal contest, but it is advantageous when candidates work together to ensure victory.
