Kojo Yankah to challenge for Ghana FA presidency

Former Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah, has announced his candidacy for the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Speaking to Onua Sports, Yankah stated his desire to officially file his nomination when the nominations open. With his significant expertise in football administration, Yankah believes he is well-prepared to manage Ghana football and will actively contest in this year’s election, set to take place in October.


Having previously served as a member of the Black Stars management committee and holding several posts inside the GFA during Kwesi Nyantakyi’s presidency, Yankah is a respected figure in the sport’s administration.


During his eight-year term as the chairman of the Western Region Football Association, after the leadership of the late Lee Yankey, Yankah exhibited his outstanding leadership qualities. He also had a seat as an Executive Committee member of the GFA.

Yankah is recognized for his outspoken character and his passion to football development in Ghana. His candidacy brings a lot of expertise and a vision for the future of Ghanaian football.
