STC's Chief Executive Officer, Nana Akomea, has called on the nation to assist the Police in their investigation of these allegations.Professor Frimpong-Boateng has accused certain government and Jubilee House officials of engaging in galamsey activities. His accusations have raised grave concerns, prompting President Nana Addo to order the Police to investigate. The investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service. However, the Presidency has dismissed Professor Frimpong-Boateng's claims as hearsay in a statement. The statement highlighted the fact that "while Prof.

Frimpong-Boateng makes severe allegations against certain government appointees, accusing them of being involved in, supporting, or interfering with the fight against illegal mining. However, not a single piece of evidence was offered or presented to allow the allegations to be investigated thoroughly.

In fact, the claims made in the document are at best conjecture.During the 'Kokrokoo' program on Peace FM, Nana Akomea urged the Police to conduct comprehensive investigations to determine the truth."It is essential to investigate this for the individuals involved.

"If we don't find out the truth, it won't be good for the reputation of those allegedly involved," he said.He also demanded that everyone assist the police in their investigations in any way possible."Everyone should support the Police.

Let's encourage and aid the Police in conducting exhaustive investigations.
