Mahama is not the solution to Ghana’s woes, he is rather the prime cause of them – Bempah

Ernest Owusu Bempah, who serves as the Deputy Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the solutions to Ghana's problems do not lie with former President John Dramani Mahama.

He stated that Mr. Mahama is the most significant contributor to the issues.

"By the time he left office in 2016, he had garnered very little support. His presidency was characterized by incompetence, financial mismanagement, and widespread corrupt practices.

"He had been found out to be a facilitator of corruption, earning him the distinction of being the first serving President to be ousted from office for corruption after spending just one term in office. At this point in time, he is the absolute worst choice that Ghana could make for president.

"In this time of worldwide economic crisis, Ghana needs a mature President who is capable of deliberation, who possesses the political and emotional talents to bring a country together, and who possesses the humility and pragmatism to lead. In a statement, he added, "John Mahama does not possess a single one of these qualities:"

The complete statement is included down below...

Return of My First COUP d'Etat King Kong as President would be a "nailed-on disaster" ———————————————————————————————

It is stated that dog groomers who sleep with their clients catch fleas from the animals, and it would appear that this is the case with John Mahama and his attempt to make a comeback.

In spite of all the crazy drama that occurred during the Mahama presidency, he will be remembered by future generations of Ghanaians as little more than a bizarre footnote in the country's political history. In point of fact, he will be remembered as a poor leader who was outmatched by obstacles and brought down by scandals.

In all honesty, Mr. Mahama was forced out of power in 2016 due to his ineptitude, corruption, and political indecisions.

Now, with just over one and a half years left till the general elections of 2024, Mahama is out there proclaiming himself a warrior and not a quitter. In the vain expectation that Ghanaians will give him another chance at the presidency, he is making pledges that he is unable to keep.

It is possible that he is not concerned in any manner, shape, or form. It would appear that broken pledges do not worry this hollow integument of a man named Mr. Mahama; survival, on the other hand, is what important, and it is impossible to see how he can survive if even attempts to row back on his many conflicting claims.

Mr. Mahama is infatuated with the position, but he refuses to acknowledge the reality that having an interest in a profession is not the same thing as really holding that job.

In addition, the individuals who back the NDC believe that he has a good possibility of leading them to victory in the subsequent election. They make the point that in spite of the fact that he was removed from office while he was functioning as President, he still has something to contribute to the role.

What they have forgotten is that it is totally irresponsible to allow ourselves to be seduced into buying a weight loss program from a chubby pig who is dealing with obesity and has not yet lost a pound. This would be the equivalent of buying a car from someone who is obese and has not yet lost any weight.

A return to public life by the nation's previous chief executive would, without a doubt, put the nation in jeopardy.

In point of fact, Mahama was a complete and utter failure as president, and his performance was a source of disgrace for the country.

We cannot forget how Mahama caused the economy to enter a period of stagflation and a recession, inflicting a double blow to the country, with both consumer price and retail price indexes hitting close to 17.7 percent in the last quarter of 2016. This is something that we cannot forget, and it is something that we must never forget. Under the government of Mahama, we were put in the spine-chilling position of having to deal with this problem.
We have not forgotten how the government under Mahama intentionally misapplied a loan facility worth 175 million dollars that was secured in 2012; the money was supposed to be used to provide seven district hospitals.

We also can't forget about the nearly GH200 million that SADA invested in trees that were burned down, while the guinea fowls inexplicably went to neighboring Burkina Faso without leaving a trace.

In point of fact, the GYEDA incident, which included more than GH200 million, is still very vivid in our memories. It is also impossible for us to forget the four years of the Dumsor economy, which resulted in the destruction of both businesses and industries.

Again, we need not let go of the fact that the Mahama presidency was marked by an extraordinary amount of corrupt behavior and gluttony.

We are familiar with Mahama and the stuff he is composed of. We are aware of his actions towards the economy during the years 2012 to 2016.

In spite of this, the town criers for the NDC are in their element today, spreading a narrative that is intended to boost Mahama's ambitions while disguising the less admirable aspects of his character.

The unfortunate reality is that Mr. Mahama is not the answer to Ghana's problems; rather, he is the primary contributor to those problems. When he left office in 2016, he had an extremely low approval rating among the people. His presidency was characterized by incompetence, financial mismanagement, and widespread corrupt practices. He had been discovered to be a facilitator of corruption, earning him the distinction of becoming the first serving President to be ousted from office for corruption after spending only one term in the office. At this point in time, he is the absolute worst choice that Ghana could make for president.

In this time of worldwide economic crisis, Ghana requires a president who is mature, who is capable of deliberation, who possesses the political and emotional qualities to bring a country together, as well as the humility and pragmatism necessary to govern.

John Mahama does not possess any of these qualities.

The crux of the matter is that there has been a severe break with the political ideology of the NDC, and there is a risk that the Ghanaian public may perceive politics as nothing more than a cruel joke.

The zombie cannot be destroyed, but it also cannot fully live; this is the reason why Mahama's braggadocio will come back to haunt him in the year 2024.
