Majority Leader denies leaked audio over alleged plot to impose Bawumia on NPP

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, has refuted the content of a leaked audio clip, which supposedly catches a voice in a scheme to impose Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

On Friday, September 8, he denied the voice in the video as not his.

"I respond as follows: the audio clip is a rather infantile attempt not only to bring my reputation into disrepute, but also to sow seeds of discord in the NPP," the Majority Leader said in a statement released on Saturday.

The Suame Member of Parliament (MP) went on to say that he was not a part of any scheme or orchestration to force Dr Bawumia on the NPP.

He was charged with the General.
