Man allegedly commits suicide over inability to pay rent

The news of the suicide of a man named Yaw in Amoama, Ashanti Region has deeply saddened the community. Yaw, like many others, had moved to the area with his family in hopes of finding better opportunities and a better life. However, despite his best efforts, he found himself facing financial difficulties and struggling to pay his rent.

According to reports, Yaw reached out to friends and close allies for assistance, but was unable to find a solution to his problem. The stress of his financial situation is thought to have played a significant role in his decision to take his own life.

Abdul Malik Anokye, a reporter for Rainbow Radio, has stated that the residents of Amoama are in shock and mourning the loss of a member of their community. Yaw had confided in friends about his thoughts of suicide before taking the tragic action, and was later found hanging in a bush after leaving home without informing anyone of his whereabouts.

Yaw’s wife is expecting their third child and he was a construction worker, this news of suicide not only brings sadness to the immediate family and friends but also highlights the importance of addressing mental health and providing support for those facing financial difficulties. It is essential that we as a society make an effort to reach out to those who may be struggling and offer assistance where we can, as well as encouraging them to seek professional help.
