Ofori Amponsah discloses how divine revelations shape his lyrics

Ofori Amponsah, a Ghanaian highlife musician, has described confronting doubts and criticism when he experienced a significant shift in his life and faith.

Speaking on Onua Showtime with Mcbrown on a Sunday, Mr. All4Real revealed that his credibility as a Man of God was questioned by many.

He believes, however, that God has inspired his compositions and guided his artistic endeavors.

Amponsah, known for his successful songs such as "Hello hello" and "Otoolege, announced in 2013 that he was entering full-time ministry as a pastor, but returned to highlife music in 2015 with Alewa feat. Sarkodie.

His popular song 'Hello Hello' predicted a number of significant global events, such as the Russian conflict and an ominous event in 2020 that many have identified as the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I released 'Hello hello' in 2005, and the things I predicted, such as the conflict between Russia and the United States and the impending darkness in 2020, have all come to pass," he said.

According to Ofori Amponsah, who now works as a musician, his transition astonished and perplexed many because he was initially viewed as a secular performer, but he assured them that he has always been devoted to God and his faith.

"When people saw me in the secular world, I believe they questioned my function as a pastor. "I believe that when something is worldly, it is not because it is not Christian, but rather because people do not believe that God exists," he stated.

Adding to his argument, the award-winning performer acknowledged that he derived meaning from his relationship with God and his faith as a source of inspiration for his compositions.

"If you peruse the Bible and lyrics of Solomon, you will find that the words are very romantic. God is the source of talent, so if you lack it, it will not function. Sometimes, when I have a revelation, I am hesitant to express it for fear of being insulted, so I incorporate it into my lyrics," he continued.
