One of the things we’ve wanted to push for was Africans to be able to have success on a Global stage – Bu Thiam on why he signed OliveTheBoy

Speaking ardently about the significance of giving African artists a platform on the global stage, Bu Thiam revealed that he was also on a mission to support African talent and praised OliveTheBoy's extraordinary potential.

According to him, his two primary objectives were to ensure that Africans can achieve success on the international stage and to acknowledge the responsibility he bears as one of the most prominent African executives in the United States.

"As one of the first and largest executives in America and as an African, I feel obligated to give opportunities to brothers like OliveTheBoy," explained Bu Thiam.

Additionally, he emphasized that many new talents find themselves in unfavorable circumstances with labels that may not completely comprehend their culture or music.

This, he contended, can impede the development and potential of these artists.

"If I'm being honest, a lot of times the new artists and partners are a bit inexperienced, so a lot of them make bad deals and take opportunities with anyone rather than working with someone who understands the culture," he stated.

However, Bu Thiam praised OliveTheBoy's decision to collaborate with Full Circle, a management agency that understood the African music landscape and recognized the rising star's potential.

"I have to give Full Circle and Loop Music a lot of respect because they had so many options but chose to work with an African," he said.

His praise for the Good Sin singer's musical ability was unequivocal; he referred to him as a "star."
