Police arrest suspect for threatening harm and possessing firearms without lawful authority

During a football match in Kpando, Volta, on June 4, 2023, the police apprehended suspect Kofi Godsway for illegally possessing firearms.

During the game, the suspect and another individual on the run allegedly brandished a weapon and threatened violence.

A search of a Nissan pickup truck used by the suspects yielded one (1) pump-action firearm, one (1) locally manufactured pistol, one (1) foreign desert eagle pistol, and thirteen (13) mm cartridges. Other items recovered include a long knife, a vehicle registration plate, a motorcycle registration plate, and a harness containing ammunition.

"While investigations continue, efforts are underway to apprehend suspect Selorm alias Dangote, who is currently evading justice," the police said in a statement.
