Register Your SIM Before Monday, Otherwise...- Telcos Issue a Warning to Subscribers With Ghana Cards

The Telcos are urging all users who have obtained Ghana Cards to finish the registration process for their SIM cards by Monday, April 17.

Additionally, those who registered more than 10 SIMs were told to go to the nearest mobile network provider "to urgently verify their SIMs on record."

This is in response to a demand from the telecommunications networks to eliminate customers who have not registered after the last deadline of March 31 by Monday, April 17.

According to a press statement from the organization, AirtelTigo, MTN, and Vodafone have made significant investments in plans to make sure that users who have their Ghana Cards and are prepared to register do so at various touchpoints set up across the nation.

In light of this, the Chamber declared that it will abide by the NCA's order to totally deactivate any impacted subscriber SIMs "which have not completed the registration by the said date without any further notice or extension of time for subscribers."

"It is crucial that the networks' treasured consumers continue to have access to emergency and other vital services, as well as voice, data, USSD, and mobile money services.

By completing stage 2 (the biometric capture) of the registration process, subscribers with Ghana cards can avoid this problem.
