Sad News Hits NDC

Maclean Jacob Asaah, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Deputy Youth Organizer in the Amenfi East Constituency in the Western Region, was killed in a horrific car accident.

The Western Region Communications Director of the NDC, Richard Kirk Mensah, confirmed the tragic news by stating that the decedent passed away while returning from a constituency campaign tour.

"Terrible news from Amenfi East indicates that the Deputy Youth Organizer aspirant from the camp of Chairman Gyan has died on the spot after a car struck him and another comrade on a motorbike as they were returning from a campaign.

The condition of the other comrade who is a ward coordinator is currently critical.

He also disclosed that the Amenfi East constituency's primaries were suspended due to internal issues.

The new date for the primaries has been set for today, July 3, 2023.

He noted that in order to avoid further delays, the primaries will be held today in Ankosia, a community adjacent to Wassa Akropong.
