Sarkodie backs Freezy Macbones ahead of next fight after boxer ditched Ghana

Sarkodie, a Ghanaian rapper, has shown his support for boxer Freezy Macbones ahead of his fight on July 21 at York Hall.

Although Macbones did not reveal his opponent, he proclaimed his intention to participate in the event.

Sarkodie's enthusiastic response to the announcement was "All support behind" followed by a crown emoji.

Macbones, who was born in Ghana, decided to fight under the flag of the United Kingdom, where he currently resides, instead of his birth country, eliciting conflicting reactions from his supporters in Ghana.

This was affirmed by the president of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Abraham Neequaye, who explained that Macbones had inquired about competing under Ghana's name.

However, after obtaining a license from the Ghana Boxing Authority, Macbones chose to compete as a British citizen.

Macbones drew the attention of Ghana in April after an impressive victory over Darryl Sharp at the Copper Boxing Arena in London. A victory that was followed by a ubiquitous, impassioned interview.
