Shatta Wale asked to apologise to former manager Bulldog as they move closer to ending legal dispute

Shatta Wale, a dancehall musician from Ghana, and Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, often known as Bulldog, his former manager, have reached an agreement to end the defamation lawsuit brought against Shatta Wale.

In reaction to Shatta Wale's allegations that Bulldog was responsible for the slaying of Fennec Okyere, the manager of Kwaw Kese, the lawsuit was brought.

On November 2, 2022, Shatta Wale published a Facebook post in which he stated these accusations.

The Accra High Court allowed the request made by Shatta Wale's attorneys to settle the dispute out of court during a prior court session.

After a month had passed, Shatta Wale's legal team returned to court to advise the judge that the parties had made considerable initial progress toward a settlement deal.

Subsequently, Shatta Wale’s lawyers requested a one-month adjournment to allow the parties to draft the terms of the settlement. The intention was for the agreed-upon terms to be presented to the court as a consent judgement.

The Accra High Court presided over by Justice Joseph Adu Agyemang Owusu, adjourned the case after Bulldog’s lawyers confirmed that settlement terms had been reached in principle.
