Suspected fraudster arrested in Dzordzekota

George Aheto, a suspected fraudster, was detained at Sogakope at Dzordzekota for allegedly utilizing the images of several prominent Bank of Ghana officials as WhatsApp display pictures to advertise fraudulent business activities on WhatsApp number 0541573870.

The fraudster utilized the WhatsApp account to entice naïve members of the public to invest in fraudulent firms that promised extremely large returns on investment. The fraudster and others persuade their victims to transfer money into MTN number 0541573870, which bears the name George Aheto, for investment purposes.

It was discovered in December 2022 that some suspected fraudsters were utilizing the images of several prominent Bank of Ghana officials as their WhatsApp display photo to advertise their fraudulent business activities on a WhatsApp number.
