The dreadful images and videos available tell a tragic tale as one person loses his life in the process.

This disaster once again demonstrates our national vulnerability and lack of preparedness for disasters.

At the scene, Ghana Fire Service Officers were using shovels and axes to remove the debris in an effort to extricate the person trapped beneath the collapsed structure.

The NADMO Officers reported, as usual, that their Excavator had broken down.

Francis-Xavier Sosu, the representative for Madina, has called for the apprehension and prosecution of all parties deemed responsible and complicit in this tragedy.

It was also evident that the building had structural defects that would eventually contribute to its collapse.
