'Try Me': Producer MOGBeatx Mocks 'Madam', Says 'I Take Pride In My Work'

MOGBeatz, whose birth name is John Kwesi Dosunmu-Mensah, has claimed that a woman has attacked him because he produced Sarkodie's most recent song.

Try Me is Sarkodie's response to Yvonne Nelson's allegations that he risked her life by getting her pregnant and having her abort the child.

The shocking allegation is contained in Yvonne's autobiography titled I Am Not Yvonne Nelson. It was published on June 18, 2023, Father's Day.

Sarkodie denounces Yvonne's accusations and slut-shames her in a 3-minute and 16-second song that conjures the sound of a regimental band on the battlefield. He claims he asked her to "keep" the pregnancy despite the fact that "I wasn't ready".

According to Sarkodie, on MOGBeatz's Hip-Hop production, Yvonne Nelson initiated an abortion out of concern for the impact of delivery on her education.

In light of the song's release today, Wednesday, June 28th, social media has been abuzz with diverse reactions for and against all involved parties, including MOG Beatz.

In addition, the award-winning producer tweeted that a woman he vaguely referred to as "madam" was harassing him via private social media messages.

"Don't send me a direct message, Madam," he cautioned, emphasizing, "I'm just a producer who takes pride in his work."

With rolling on the floor and laughing emojis, he made fun of the woman by claiming he is like a "chef" because he "has no trouble cooking vawulence with all the necessary spices."

MOGBeatz, also known as Numba One, tweeted previously that "vawulence," a slang term for animated confrontations, "is best served as a banger" or through a hard-hitting pop song. He added a weeping and a laughing emoji.

MOGBeatz and Sarkodie collaborate frequently. Other controversial songs they have worked on include Happy Day, which was viewed by some as a blatant endorsement of the ruling New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 presidential election, and 2023's Stir It Up, which was viewed by some as a desecration of Bob Marley's legacy.
