Two Northern State Where APC May Not Perform Well In 2023

As the 2023 presidential race is approaching, presidential candidates have been putting their house in order, ahead of the 2023 presidential race.

However, the ruling party All Progressives Congress APC may not gather much votes in some northern states due to one reason or the other.

One of the states where APC may not get much votes is Adamawa state. Apart from the fact that Adamawa happens to be state of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the state happens to be one of the stronghold of the PDP in the north.

There is no other political parties, who have won the election in the state except the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, since 1999.

It should be recalled, that senator Ishaku Abbo from Adamawa North senatorial district, resigned his position as a member of Tinubu support group and dumped the All Progressives Congress APC for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Senator Abbo made it known to the public that he dumped the APC for the PDP, because the All Progressives Congress APC picked Muslim as running mate to fly the presidential ticket of the party.

Senator Abbo also made it known to the public, that he is bonafide member of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN and as a result of this, he will do everything possible to ensure the victory of PDP presidential candidate in the state.

Another state that APC may not perform well in the forthcoming presidential race is Sokoto state. Sokoto state has always been a stronghold of the PDP in the northwest since 1999. Though, APC won the Governorship Election in 2015 because of Governor Aminu Wasiri Tambuwal.

However, the outstanding performance of Governor Aminu Wasiri Tambuwal, will give edge to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, over the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.

It should be recalled, that Governor Aminu Tambuwal was one of the PDP presidential aspirants before he stepped down for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the PDP Presidential primary.

As a result of this, Governor Tambuwal will also do everything possible to deliver the state for the PDP in the forthcoming presidential race
