VALCO donates items, cash to Tema Traditional Council in support of 2023 Homowo Festival

The Tema Traditional Area has been the recipient of a donation of goods as well as an undisclosed monetary sum from the Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO).

The commodities consisted of things like sacks of maize, gallons of palm oil, fish in cartons, bottled water, and a variety of other drinks.

Tuesday, August 8 was the day on which the donation that was made as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility program was carried out.

The 2023 Homowo Festival benefited from this event's support.

VALCO's Chief Executive Officer, the Honorable Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, leads a group of the company's executive members at a meeting.

They also sent an undisclosed sum of money, four sets of individualized football jerseys, four footballs, and four footballs to support the ongoing inter-clan football competition, which is also a part of the events that are being held in commemoration of the Homowo holiday.

The management believes that the support will have an impact on the success of the Homowo Festival and the community as a whole, and they express this belief in their statements.

In addition to its role as a stimulant for economic expansion, the festival will result in increased revenue for the region's merchants, artisans, and other market participants.

In addition, the generous contribution made by VALCO illustrates the constructive relationship that already exists between VALCO and the community.

Nii Adjetey Agbo, Tema Mankralo and acting President of the Tema Traditional Council, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Executive officer, the Board, the management and staff of VALCO for their unprecedented support upon receiving the items on behalf of the Tema Traditional Council. He also promised to continue praying for the improvement of VALCO.
