Vivian Jill Responds To Allegations: "I Don't Do Hookups"

Vivian Jill Lawrence, a Kumawood actress, has reacted to reports that most actresses are currently involved in prostitution as a result of the apparent decline of the film business.

Earlier, in a widely shared video, actor and director Kwame Borga claimed that more than 70% of Kumawood actresses had engaged in "hookup," a term used to represent prostitution in modern times.

Some performers were offended by his claims, and Mercy Asiedu and her spouse Nana Agyeman Badu I even filed a lawsuit.

In a previous interview with Hello FM, Mr. Samuel Nyamekye, CEO of Miracle Films, also threatened to sue the director.

After being asked for her opinion, Vivian Jill expressed her anger in an interview with Dave Hammer of the station.

The well-known actress disputed the 'hookup' charges by pointing out that in addition to performing, she also owns a variety of businesses, including one that sells charcoal.

"Some of us have been painted in a particular light, so it acts as confirmation if you level accusations against us. You are aware of how hard I work. I have began transporting charcoal to Tema.

Some of us have jobs in addition to acting. I went to perform some work rounds even this morning before arriving here.

I abstain from hookups. I had never even heard of it before. You can't even date a stranger in our day and age, so why would you accept an invitation from one? You cannot say such things and then demand that we remain silent, she emphasized.
