Zimbabwean man whose an acting court judge in South Africa marries his white bride traditionally

A Zimbabwean man who is based in South Africa ensured that his white Makoti got all the traditional welcome she deserves.
Advocate Mabasa Sibanda (38), a lawyer and an acting High Court judge in South Africa, took his Port Elizabeth sweetheart Miss Haney back to his Zimbabwean roots to introduce her to his ancestors.

The event attracted a lot of people from his home village in Mangwe as they were treated to a spectacle.

The traditional Ndebele wedding ceremony ensured that the white bride was introduced to her groom's ancestors. The Ndebele way.

The process involves sprinkling bile from a goat on the daughter-in-law’s stomach while immediate family members communicate with the ancestors of the groom.

This is a traditional Ndebele practice that is done by members of that tribe in Zimbabwe.

From Johannesburg, Haney came to the family homestead, where she was introduced to the rest of the family where rituals such as were performed.

The elders also gave the traditional pots that she has to use to cook for her husband and family.

She also officially became known as Mrs. Sibanda.

She also gathered firewood and was made to lie on top of the gathered firewood as she waited to be given a token of appreciation in line with the cultural rites.
