Asante Kotoko to sign Yahaha Dawuni

Asante Kotoko have signed defender Yahaha Dawuni from Division One League club Susubiribi.

On Tuesday, the Kumasi-based club announced their first signing as they commence business in the transfer market ahead of the forthcoming season.
Following his performance with Susubiribi Football Club in the Division One League, the Porcupine Warriors approached the young talent and reached a deal with both the player and the team.
Dawuni was a target for Premier League club Bibiani Gold Stars, but he will instead play for the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League champions.
The Porcupine Warriors are seeking to rebuild their club after a disappointing campaign that saw them finish fourth on the league log previous season.
As part of their effort to rebuild, the club is apparently set to unload eleven players, including Mohammed Alhassan and Maxwell Agyemang, leaving a hole that must be addressed.
Dawuni is so expected to fill in as a replacement and give depth to Kotoko's backline.
The team is expected to announce the signing of more players before the start of the season when they begin pre-season on Wednesday.
