BECE Candidates Are Supported by North Dayi MP

Madam Joycelyn Tetteh, Member of Parliament (MP) for North Dayi Constituency, has offered encouraging words to all Junior High School students in the constituency who are taking the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).

On the first day of the exams, the MP, who is known for her several interventions aimed at promoting quality education in her constituency, visited all three exam centres in the district, namely Vakpo Senior High, Vakpo Senior High Technical, and Anfoega Senior High Schools and donated Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Mathematical sets, and other materials to help the candidates write their exams successfully.

Madam Tetteh also provided each applicant GHC 10 for the day's food, while invigilators received GHC 100 each to cover their expenses for the week.

She encouraged candidates to be diligent in answering questions so that they can excel in the exams, adding that she will continue to assist in the provision of educational materials such as Student Mattresses, Chop boxes, Groceries, Books, and so on to candidates who do well in the BECE, in order for them to gain access to second cycle education when they gain admission into Senior High School, as she did last year.

The 2023 BECE began on Monday, August 7, 2023.

In the North Dayi District, a total of 837 candidates are taking the exams, with 37 invigilators and one (1) district test coordinator.

Madam Tetteh complimented the heads and instructors of the various schools for effectively preparing the applicants to sit the examinations and expressed optimism that the kids would do well to justify their teachers' efforts and dedication.

She pleaded with the invigilators not to be too harsh on the kids in order to maintain their morale and confidence.

The applicants expressed their gratitude to the MP for her assistance and assured her that they would perform well in the tests and progress to Senior High School as she desired.
