President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has cautioned Ghanaians to be vigilant against politicians who aim to fuel tribal and religious divisions, emphasizing that such individuals contribute nothing positive to the nation's pursuit of multiparty democracy, diversity, peace, and unity. As the 2024 General Election approaches, he advised the electorate to reject such figures and urged careful consideration in choosing leaders based on competence, track record, and integrity. Akufo-Addo highlighted the significance of the upcoming elections in shaping the country's development and endorsed Vice-President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer, citing his experience and honesty. Encouraging support for the NPP, he commended the MP for Bantama, Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye, for the e-library project, urging the electorate to grant him another mandate for their welfare in the upcoming polls.
