Dream FC confident to win CAF Confederation Cup

Ameenu Shardow, the General Manager of Dreams FC, maintains a positive outlook regarding his team's prospects in advancing to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, despite encountering logistical hurdles.

In the initial leg of the second round of preliminary matches, the Ghana Premier League side clinched a 2-1 triumph over FC Kallon from Sierra Leone at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday. Seasoned forward John Antwi secured the victory for Dreams FC with a penalty goal after FC Kallon equalized just before halftime. The first goal of the game was netted by Dreams' Godfred Atuahene in the 11th minute.

When addressing the potential challenge of playing the second leg outside Sierra Leone due to logistical difficulties faced by Kallon's team, Shardow conveyed his team's determination to achieve the necessary outcome for qualification. He stressed their singular focus on the current task and their belief in securing victory in the return fixture.

"We won't dwell on the logistics challenge; our concentration is high," Shardow stated to Citi Sports. "As I mentioned, the job isn't finished. We would have preferred to score more goals for a more comfortable win, but I believe we're capable enough to go for the return fixture and complete the task."
