First Lady launched Campaign to promote gender equality

In an effort to reduce the gender gap in Africa, the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has launched the "Unifying Campaign" in Ghana.

The campaign, which began on Monday in Accra, is a component of the strategic initiatives to advance gender equality and guarantee that girls and women fill their fair share of roles in the development of Ghana and Africa as a whole.

The initiative, with the hashtag "#WeAreEqual," unites African first women, partners, and allies in an effort to improve gender equality and reduce the gender gap throughout the continent.

The year-long campaign is being led by the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), and the first ladies will collaborate to remove the obstacles that prevent women and girls from achieving equality in health, education, women's economic empowerment, and other areas.
