Journalist donates to Children's Home on Birthday

To celebrate her birthday, journalist and philanthropist Madam Obuobia Opoku-Darko donated food, groceries, toiletries, and other supplies to the Providence Children's Home in Aflao.

Madam Opoku-Darko said she had always been moved by the situation of the less fortunate in society, particularly children who for various reasons do not have families of their own to support them throughout life and have to wind up in foster homes. She was speaking at a brief ceremony to deliver the gifts.

She explained that in the spirit of giving back on her birthday, she had chosen to spend some time with the kids and also donate the gifts to the children's home, and that she was grateful and overjoyed to know that they will be used by the kids.
