Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Madina MP, has given certain medical facilities in the La-Nkwantanang Madina municipality medical supplies worth GHC1 million.

Madina Polyclinic (Rawlings Circle), Pentecost Hospital (Alpha), Pantang Hospital, Madina Polyclinic (Kekele), and Danfa Health Centre are some of the beneficiary institutions.

The MP's health project office, under the direction of Dr. Yennusom Maalug, with assistance from the Municipal Health Directorate and Life for Relief and Development, made the gift possible.

On Thursday, August 10, at a brief ceremony at the La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipality Assembly to deliver the items to the recipients, Sosu stated the apparatus will improve how the institutions function in achieving SDG 3.

Hospital beds, hospital tables, wheelchairs, stadiometers, anaesthetic equipment, orthopaedic kits, and more than 100 large crates containing syringes and intravenous canulas of different sizes were among the donated items.

Other supplies included lubricating gels, surgical gowns and drapes, hand wash soaps, disinfectants, hand sanitizers, bed coverings, and tracheostomy care kits.

Additionally, walking aids and other physiotherapy supplies like Zimmer frames were supplied. In addition, donations of safety boxes, oxygen masks, and peritoneal dialysis infusions were made.

Health project related
The Health Project is only one of several initiatives that Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu has launched to improve the lives of residents in the Madina Constituency. Education, job creation, and sports are a few of the other programmes.

The Health Project team, chaired by Dr. Yennusom Maalug, is made up of a carefully chosen group of professionals with the primary objective of carrying out the Member of Parliament's vision for healthcare for his constituency.

The Health Project's goals include registering constituents for the National Health Insurance Scheme, establishing mobile clinics, conducting quarterly medical outreaches to communities in the constituency, building senior recreation centres, and raising money for constituents whose medical conditions require expensive treatment.
