Medeama beats Move FC 3-0

After beating Team Move FC 3-0 in Sunday's final of the western region supper middle League, Medeama's developmental squad Rospak advanced to the Ghana National Division One League.The junior team of the Ghana Premier League champions advanced to the next level thanks to goals from Rashid Yussif (2) and Michael Akuokuo (55') in a 3-0 victory.Michael Akuokuo's single effort, a 25-yarder that he slalomed past Evans Blay in the goal, set the tone for the rest of the game.With a smooth finish past Mustapha Prah, substitute winger Rashid Yussif made it 2-0.A defensive mix-up allowed the dynamic wideout to score easily from close range and quiet the rowdy home crowd.Rashid Yussif was in the right place at the right time to volley the game-winning goal into the upper right corner, ensuring victory for the Tarkwa club.The Tarkwa club qualified for the playoffs after a thrilling season in the promotion game this year.

Team Move FC, owned by famous musician Kofi Kinaata, was the focus of everyone's attention as they battled for a promotion to the top division.

Halftime's heroic brace from Rashid Yussif calmed the anxieties of the sold-out crowd at Gyandu Park after Rospak FC threatened to rip up the script.

For Medeama, this has been a banner year because they won the Ghana Premier League.

Their reserve team also won 3-0 at Gyandu Park in Sekondi, putting them over the top into the First Division League.

Abdul Aziz Fatawu, coach of Rospak FC, opted for a defensive network with George Antwi Jnr, Godwin Eshun, Clement Essien, and Kain Adade, while leaving winger Rashid Yussif on the bench.

The away team's starting lineup consisted of Michael Akuoko, Derric Asare, Joseph Ansah Ntow, Emmanuel Osei Boafo, and David Frimpong Boison.

Despite suffering a crushing defeat, Team Move FC head coach Joel Ofori Afranie may be proud of his players.

Robert Yankson, Thomas Kommeh, Isaac Nkyera Cudjoe, Prince Otoo, Hafiz Moro, George Ennim, Enoch Akuffo, Bonniface Blay, Seidu Abdulai, and Oppong Kakra Asante are all starters for this team, along with goalkeeper Mustapha Prah.
