Health Workers For John Mahama 2024 Storms Assin North Constituency

A group calling itself health workers for John Mahama have stormed the Assin North constituency to campaign for the NDC parliamentary candidate James Gyaakye Quayson.

With barely 24 hours to the bye-election, the group believe the NDC will retain the seat.

“We have grown to love the Assin people even more as a result of our visit to the constituency and the spectacular reception during our implementation of a health screening and education programme in the local communities is an indication the NDC will win the poll”

“The re-election of James Gyaakye Quayson is especially necessary given HE John Mahama's track record in the Assin North health sector given the Breku Health Center's enlargement and the construction of CHIP complexes in Bediaua, Gangan, Ningo, Camp, Aworabo and Akonfidi, it is clear that the NDC and Assin North's continued support of a committed and devoted indigine is the greatest option moving forward”

The convener of the group, Kwame Oduro expressed gratitude to the people of the constituency for their warm reception and expressed optimism that people will make the right choice.

“We have every reason to believe that Hon. Quayson will be reelected as the MP for Assin North. We firmly believe that victory is inevitable given the extensive campaigning efforts made by the party apparatus, the free medical services provided recently by (HW4JM), and the region's long history of successful development” he said.

The Assin North seat became vacant following a Supreme Court ruling over the eligibility of the 2020 parliamentary candidate of the NDC.

The by-election is expected to take place on Tuesday June, 27
