A Northern Ghana based Non-profit Civil Society Organization, ‘I for Peace Foundation’ has supported the Damongo Redemptions Orphanage with assorted items worth over Gh¢3,000.
The items included clothing, bags of rice, cooking oils, soaps, tomatoes, sugar and eggs among others.
This is part of the organization’s regular support programs for orphanages and children’s homes.
Speaking to the media after the presentation in Damongo in the Savannah Region on Friday, Co-Founder of the organization, Mr Haruna Muntala Jarrah said his foundation supports various orphanages and children’s homes as part of its corporate social responsibility.
He explained that the organization engages in other activities such as advocacy and education programmes mainly in the Northern Region.
Mr Haruna appealed to inmates of the orphanage to respect their teachers, learn very hard and refrain from drug abuse as it has become common among most young people in Northern Ghana.
He appealed to benevolent individuals and organizations to support their campaigns by donating in cash and in kind.

The Headmaster of the Damongo Redemptions Orphanage, Pastor Abraham commended ‘I for Peace Foundation’ for the donation, saying that it has come at the right time when the house needed support.
He appealed to other individuals and organizations to support in the running of the orphanage.
