NPP Parliamentary Aspirant donates Qur'ans to Islamic Schools in Tamale South



An Aspiring NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the Tamale South Constituency, Alhaji Baba Alhassan has presented dozens of Qur'ans and undisclosed amounts of money to some selected Islamic Schools in the area.

The beneficiary schools include Madarasatul Ya-Musah in the Nalung Electoral Area and Nurullah Islamic School in the Bulpela Electoral Area.

Alhaji Alhassan told Tamale based Radio Justice that the donation was part of his campaign to encourage both Islamic and circular education in the constituency.

He said the acquisition of both Islamic and western education "would prepare and equip these children with the requisite knowledge to be able to be successful in this competitive global village while being morally upright".

Alhaji Alhassan pledged to replicate the donation in other parts of the constituency.

The NPP Parliamentary Aspirant who is also a level 300 student of the University for Development Studies said he would continue prioritize education as it is key to the development of any society.




Baba Alhassan supports Movement for Bawumia's blood donation exercise

Meanwhile, Alhaji Alhassan Baba Alhassan has supported a blood donation exercise organized by Movement for Bawumia, a pro-Bawumia youth group in Tamale.

The blood donation exercise was to help stock the blood bank of the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

Alhaji Alhassan commended the group for the gesture and presented an undisclosed amount of money to the group to support the exercise.

Alhaji Alhassan is one of four Aspirants contesting the party’s parliamentary primaries in the Tamale South Constituency.

Even though he is a student, he has won the admiration and support of many who believe he is the best candidate to snatch the Tamale South seat for the NPP.
