A Coalition of NDC Youth Groups in Tamale have threatened not to vote for the party if the decision to remove the Tamale South Member of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu as Minority Leader is not reversed.

The angry youth said the NDC should prepare to remain in opposition, because they will not exchange Haruna Iddrisu for Former President John Mahama.
The groups, numbering over 20 described the decision to change the Minority Leader as “not just shameful, harmful, evil and wicked decision taken by the party but also a practice of tyranny and autocratic democratic dispensation by Mr. Aseidu Nketiah and Fifi Kwatey”.

Addressing Journalists in Tamale on Wednesday, January 25, Spokesperson for the Coalition, Sayibu Abdul Rahman also described the explanations given by the NDC Chairman as reasons for the removal of Mr Iddrisu as unpopular, self-seeking and wicked decision.

“Ladies and Gentlemen of the press Another question that answers must be provided for is why was Hon. James Avedzi replaced with Hon Agbadza, both of them are from Volta Region of Ghana it is also because Fiifi Kwertey is from Volta Region and who serves as party general secretary” Mr Abdul Rahman added.
They said that as youth, they see Haruna Iddrisu as their role model and look forward to his progress in life, no matter the vilification and intimidation.

“We once again want to state a emphatically and unequivocally that Hon. Haruna Iddris remain our Role Model as Youth in the Northern Region and look forward to see him progress, no amount of vilification and intimidation will being hit down” he noted.
