Suhuyini has done nothing as MP, I'll snatch Tamale North from him- NPP Parliamentary Aspirant

A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Aspirant of the Tamale North Constituency has said that the party has a high chance of snatching the parliamentary seat from the NDC's Alhassan Suhuyini in the 2024 Elections.

Alhaji Alidu Abdul Rahman Abre who was an Aide of the former Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed said a survey conducted by his team revealed the people of Tamale North were fed up with the incumbent MP who he accused of doing little to solve the development needs of the people.

He said the constituency still had a lot of developmental challenges, hence his decision to contest to rescue the people from the NDC MP.

"The constituents are not happy with him, he's not doing anything in the constituency, there are a lot of developmental challenges in the constituency and that's what we stand to bring" he told Journalists after submitting his nomination forms in Tamale on Wednesday, August 10.

Alhaji Abreh added that he stood a better chance of winning the primaries because "I interact, I flow, I have a lot of relationship with the constituency and I am from this constituency".

The Parliamentary Aspirant was accompanied by hundreds of supporters who were mainly polling station executives, party stalwarts and elders among others.

Many have tipped him to win the Tamale North primaries after former Parliamentary Candidate of the party for the 2020 Elections failed to make any significant gains in the constituency during the last elections.
